Duties/Accountabilities – Design Engineer Support
- Reports directly to Project Engineers.
- Reviews and supports Design Engineers with Production Documentation (Test Procedure, Assembly Procedure, and Product Test Apparatus).
- Assist Intermediate Engineers with training Production on Pilot Products.
- Active participant in the New Product Introduction team.
- Collect Product Pilot Run data from Production.
- Supports Intermediate Engineers with Product Support by implementing Engineering Design Changes to Legacy Radial Products.
- Active participant in the Engineering Change Control Committee.
Duties/Accountabilities – Compliance Engineer Support
- Reports directly to the Senior Certification Engineer.
- Assist Senior Certification Engineer with the setting up and completing the following CE Certification Tests:>
- General Safety
- EMC Immunity
- Assist Senior Certification Engineering with Generation of Certification Technical Reports.
- Become familiarized with CE Standards:
- Directive 2014/30/EU Electromagnetic Compatibility
- Directive 2011/65/EU Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment
- CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60065:16 (IEC 60065:2014) Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus – Safety Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- 3rd to 4th year Bachelors of Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Student.
- Previous experience working in the Electronics Industry an asset.
- Previous experience working with Production an asset.
- Experience in the Music Industry considered an asset.
- A person with a musical background is preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Required Competencies
- Strong communication and Technical Writing skills.
- An ability to work independently and manage multiple assigned tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 software suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Comfortable breadboarding and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Comfortable in a laboratory setting and working within a small Engineering team.
- Ability to read and comprehend Schematics and PCB Assembly Drawings.
- Comfortable using PCB Layout software (PADS and/or Altium) and SolidWorks considered an asset.
- Familiar with common lab equipment: power supplies, function generators, oscilloscopes, & spectrum analyzers etc.
