The Hot-British V9 provides the warm saturated distortion of a tube amp in a compact and feature-rich pedal. The solid-state design includes Radial’s Class-A buffering circuit, which provides the same feel as true-bypass, but allows you to run long cables and pedal chains with ease. Once engaged, three tone-shaping stages provide a high degree of control over the resulting sound, from subtle tube saturation textures to high-gain over-the-top distortion. A Drive control sets the overall distortion amount and input level, while a Contour knob changes the character of the distortion itself. A two band EQ section after the distortion circuit allows you to tailor the output to match your guitar and amp. Three-position Mid Boost and Top End switches round out the post-distortion EQ controls, while an overall level setting allows you to choose how hard to drive your amp. The Hot-British V9 is housed in an ultra-durable 14-gauge steel chassis, and can be powered by a standard 9V power supply or multi-pedal power brick.
