The Komit is a unique dynamic shaping tool that combines a VCA compressor with a diode bridge clipping limiter. Although careful attention has been paid with respect to achieving world-class specifications, this has played second fiddle to delivering exciting audio results. Key to the performance is the way the Komit transitions from soft to hard knee while delivering less than 0.05% distortion in the critical range. And as shown in the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the Komit delivers a near perfect cascade of even-order harmonics for the sonic warmth that is characteristic of old-school transformer coupled inputs and discrete analogue circuitry.
