To deliver maximum tone, full-size discrete parts are employed throughout. These are hand inserted and then soldered to a double-sided circuit board with a full-surface ground plane making the Tonebone Plexitube one of the quietest pedals in its class. High lifecycle footswitches combine with steel shafted potentiometers for maximum durability. The outer case is made from heavy duty 14 gauge steel to eliminate stress on the circuit board which helps prevent premature part failure. The Plexitube is then finished in a durable baked enamel finish.
