Looking at the SGI specifications is both worthwhile yet deceiving. On one hand, looking at specs such as noise or signal handling will determine the quality of the interface. On the other hand, evaluating application specific devices like the SGI needs to be done by considering the source. A guitar for example tends to be a mid range device with a relatively low output. Ultimately… it comes down to how it actually sounds. And the SGI sounds great!
